Happy to report the news officially: my next tale of sudsy goings-on in midcentury America is in progress and headed to a bookstore near you in the summer of 2028 courtesy of my publisher, HarperCollins. It’s titled The Pink Bungalows, and it’s the story of the headstrong daughter of a movie studio chief who takes a job as an assistant concierge at one of the world’s most elegant places, the Beverly Hills Hotel, a.k.a. “The Pink Palace.” It’s a tale of mystery and secrets, dark glamour and forbidden romance, intrigue, danger, and … well, you get the idea.
